Museum and Archive Cell
The Department of History has a Museum/Archival Cell consisting of sculptures, coins, palmleaf manuscripts, tribal artefacts, brass objects, paintings, rare books, journals, reports, gazetteers, private papers, etc. To procure, these materials a long term survey work has been done on South Odisha for a number of times. Based on their survey collection, the materials have been checked and enlisted in the catalogue. Further, they have been classified, labelled and scientifically preserved. The Museum has also got modern facilities for chemical repair, restoration works for antiquities and archival materials. The objects are being inspected in regular intervals and necessary chemical application and repair work are being done in scientific manner by the officer-in-charge. There are proper arrangements for the researchers in the museum for consultation of archival and other archaeological materials.

Along with this, Photograph of antiquities, temples, mathas and sculptures have been preserved in the photo-archival cell to cater the needs of the researchers.
